I have been working within the retail sector for the past five years, starting as a part time Sales Assistant for an independent company and online retailer. I then progressed on to a management role and running of the store on a day to day basis. I have since moved on and have been working within the Halfords Contact Centre for the past two years as a Customer Service Advisor and I'm now looking to progress into a new role and further my career.

  • Accepting inbound and making outbound phone calls to and from; customers, 460+ retail stores, suppliers and couriers, answering enquiries over the phone and resolving any concerns effectively and promptly for my customers
  • Dealing with online orders, product, service enquiries and complaints
  • Efficiently tracking customer orders using SAP, WMS and Metapack and able to identify any issues
  • Using different courier systems to track orders; Yodel, Parcelforce, DX, UPS, DPD, Royal Mail and UK Mail
  • Liaising with our Distribution Centre to resolve any online order concerns
  • Responding to customer emails, web forms and white mail

  • Efficiently using Salesforce to log all calls and live chats and categorising each contact correctly so it reflects the type of contact and nature of the call
  • Placing customer orders over the phone
  • Independently using a variety of different systems; Salesforce, SAP, WMS, Metapack, Gatekeeper, Datacash, and Product Finder
  • Processing card and Paypal refunds through SAP and Datacash
  • Running Insufficient and Out of Stock reports when required
  • Training new colleagues when required

I'm a keen Football player and coach. I love the team element and coaching aspect of the game, leading the group and bringing the team together. I play during the week and I go to matches as often as I can. I also enjoy playing Snooker and Pool. I enjoy the strategic thinking and planning ahead mentality behind the game. I'm also a member of my local Snooker club and play once a week. I enjoy looking after and spending time with my three young nephews, they can be a right handful!
